    Statement T-Shirts

As you may know, (and I already said this), summer's comming, and with that, comes a great opportunity of using t-shirts, and be more casual and comfortable. That's why, today I'll talk about the very -trendy, statement t-shirts.

You probably have seen them everywhere!, I personally have just a few, because I'm more of a plane t-shirt girl, but, after seeing them even on celebrities, I definitely want to have more.

I can be something as simple as a word.

Something to show you are a feminist!, or that you just support women.

Or, in my case, since i'm a vegetarian (but want to become a vegan), I'll wear this one with pride.

In case you are a funny type of girl...

And, of course, on Rosemary Sayulita, we have options for you, like this one:

Because, you know, you should  always follow your heart ;)

So this season, get you favorite statement t-shirt, and go out and have some fun, it would definitely be a conversation starter.

    The Dream

    The Dream

I’ve been in the city of my dreams for a week now, and it’s been a roller coaster. The day before I came here, I got into a big fight with one of my best friends, and I felt horrible, almost defeated, but I said to myself “this is it, you have no more reasons to stay where you are”, so I grab my bags, and I left.

I’m not going to lie, I cried almost the whole way here, I was listening to sad songs, I was feeling miserable, and then, my friend text me “I’m sorry”, I said “I’m sorry too”, and we made up, I felt better, but it was not enough.

I got into the big city at 7 pm, still crying, still feeling like I didn’t know what I was doing. My friend –and now roommate, received me with a bottle of red wine and a slice of pizza, I cried again, then I fell asleep.

I have been looking for a job ever since, I walk pass a vegan restaurant one day (I’m a vegetarian, by the way), and I was like “I want to work here”, I ask if they were hiring, they said yes, I went there the next day, just to find out I didn’t like to be a waitress, at all. So I told them, thanks, and I didn’t show up the next day.

This whole week I have been learning that being alone in the big city can be amazing, but also dangerous, and lonely. Everyone’s busy, they walk very fast, and yes, there’s tons of places I want to go yet, but most importantly, I want to get a job, do something, I feel like I’m doing nothing yet.

So the big question in my head right now is “is this my dream?, is this what I always wanted?”

    I don’t know, maybe I don’t really know what I want yet,

but I am in the city,

    bnd she’s wild.

    Maybe she’ll surprise me soon.

    Summer's coming

    Summer's coming

So, we all know what that means: yes, hot weather everywhere.
Especially if you live on the coast, or if you are planning to go on vacation to a warm place, you may want to take some precaution, and start buying some appropriate clothes.
But, what is it appropriate? We can’t just go around on a bikini the whole time (or can we?), so,
Let’s talk about dresses and bodysuits.

You can wear dresses no matter your age, and most importantly, you can wear them everywhere, any occasion, and they are so easy to wear, you just throw them on, and that’s it.

    Here are some examples:

Bodysuits, on the other hand, are so trendy right now, and it’s probably because they are super comfortable, and you can wear them with almost everything: with maxi skirts, with pants, shorts, with a blanket around your waist, you can do whatever you want, and trust me, with this hot weather, you don’t want to spend a lot of time thinking about putting an outfit together, so that’s why bodysuits are so essential.

Summer’s coming, so you better be ready.

    Did you know?

    Did you know?

Maybe I should start by saying that I’m a 23-year-old girl trying to give something to think about to all you women out there.

I was on Tumblr the other day and I saw a post about traveling and just enjoying life, and now, Im about to move to another city, and thats the most exciting thing thats been happening in my life lately. But then, I think about the women out there, the ones that have children, the ones that are married, or the ones that have important and well paid jobs. What would they do?

    Would they move?
    Would they ever consider it?

We all have excuses, my biggest excuse for the longest time was: I have a job, and I have patients, and I cannot just leave them.
But then, I started to think about the future, and I didn
t feel happy, what was I doing? And when did my dream become just a shadow?

So I took little steps, first of all: I went to therapy, because I wanted to talk about all the negativity that I was feeling about myself.
Then I told my parents about me wanting to move, and my dad wasn
t so happy, but eventually he understood. Then I quit my job. Yes, I did it! And I almost feel like a lot of weight was lifted off my shoulders.

And now, Im just 5 days away from moving, my life is about to change, and I couldnt be more terrified and more happy.

So, what does this have to do with you?

Maybe you have a dream, and you, like me, are too afraid. Maybe you just want to go and see the ocean, maybe you want to learn how to sing, and maybe you want to write a novel. Look around you and think about those things that make you feel passion. What is stopping you from getting them?
We often forget how short life is. And like I said, we all have excuses.

But, did you now? You can do anything you want, little steps will take you a long way.

    Sayulita Sea Turtles

We are so fortunate to be near Sea Turtles, which are in danger of extinction!  Many evenings when surfing in the area you will see a little head pop up within feet of your board, and of course at first you are startled, but then you see it's just a lovely little turtle. Alejandra Flores Barba, one of our Rosemary girls, has helped pioneer Sayulita's Sea Turtle protection group.  She taught me a few things about Sea Turtles and I wanted to share them with you.

Female adult turtles come up onto the beach and lay their eggs at night. She will make a hole with her fins and if it’s quiet and dark she will start to lay the eggs. During this process the turtles are very vulnerable to poachers because they are in a sort of trance. When she is finished she will cover the nest with her fins and compress the sand with her body. Then she will return to the ocean. The mama turtle will never see her baby turtles. Turtles will lay an average of 100 eggs each time.

The organization that helps to protect the turtle population here in Sayulita, come at night to find the nests and then they take the eggs back to the nursery. There they create a fake nest where the eggs can hatch safely. Incubation is around 45 days. The temperature of the nest will determine if the baby turtles are male or female. Baby turtles are super strong; they break their shell and start digging themselves out of the hole. The group releases the turtles at sunset when there are fewer predators. On average only 1 out of 100 will make it to be an adult turtle. Turtles remember where they were born and will return to the same beach to lay its eggs at about 6 years of age.

So anyway our shop sponsored a release of baby turtles and it was really cool, and I learned a lot and just wanted to share! xo
